Horizons Programmes Term Four 2010

Antarctic Adventures


Students will research and visit Antarctic exhibitions, discovering key information about wild life and the history of exploration. To celebrate the Antarctic festival students will create a unique children's tale, designing a character who has an adventure.  Skills developed will include storyboarding, illustrating and producing a multi media storybook to be enjoyed.

Fancy yourself as a journalist? We'll visit the newspaper professionals at the Press, learn all about the function and structure of newspapers and then work online to draft and edit content for our own mini-newspaper.

Photographic design school


Learn the skills of taking and editing photographs. Use software such as Paintshop Pro, Photostory 3 or PowerPoint to produce clever visual images.
