Upper Riccarton Book club finish the term with fish and chips

The lucky members of Upper Riccarton Book club finished the term with a fish and chip snack and a quiz. They are checking out the activities available in Kidsfest over the holidays, sharing their books and entering the Beauty and the Beast colouring competition.

Online Book Clubs Expand

Term Four sees the addition of two more online book clubs to the network. Rosie Mamoe has started a new club at Upper Riccarton Library and Laura de Haro and Ahbeyott Mane are doing the same at New Brighton Library.

South Book Club

South has the longest running book club. Term Four 2009 sees us start with 20 members.

We have an even number of boys and girls and a small group of younger brothers and sisters who are book club members in training.

We have three or four seriously dedicated mother helpers who stay during the session and make sure no-one gets left out.

New Brighton Book Club

The New Brighton Book Club started in Term 4 2009. Run by ex-librarian
Ahbeyott Mane and the Children's librarian at New Brighton Library the new club will be a great addition to this library's services. We look forward to seeing what develops.
